How can these women meet their calcium needs? Is there a way to get calcium from other sources than milk? Let’s talk about keeping bones healthy in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and what free diet tips Indian moms can use. Carissa Gan, Unsplash After a long wait, we went to dinner at one of the clubs that hosted a karaoke evening. The new mom sat next to her baby, a happy and gurgling child, along with the elder women of the family. The mom and her baby were very happy. However, the mother-in-law asked for diet tips in India for moms new to the family. She was really upset that the new mom wasn’t drinking the required two glasses of milk each day. This made me recall the time I was a mom, and had to have two large tumblers of milk every day to keep my bones strong. As a mother, it is crucial to care for our bones throughout our lives. New mothers and babies benefit from a healthy, balanced diet that includes adequate calcium intake. Regular exercise is also beneficial. Our bodies require more calcium during pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Calcium is essential. Experts recommend between 1,000-1300 mg of calcium per day for women who are pregnant or nursing. Calcium is an important nutrient for women but some women refuse to drink milk for various reasons. What can they do? What can these women do to meet their calcium needs? Is there a way to get calcium from other sources than milk? Let’s talk about keeping bones healthy in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and what free diet tips Indian moms can use. New moms in India get free diet tips to help them gain calcium during pregnancy and breastfeedingCalcium is first thought when we think of milk and other dairy products like cottage cheese (paneer) and regular curds (Dahi). There are many other sources of calcium, especially for women with milk allergies or who don’t want it ethically. Here are some alternatives to calcium if you have recently become vegan or don’t like the taste of milk. According to a National Institutes of Health (NIH) finding, calcium is one of our most abundant minerals. Calcium is stored in our bones and teeth. Calcium is also found in nerve cells, our blood and in our bones. Calcium’s main function is to aid our bodies in various functions, including sending and receiving nerve signals, muscle contract, hormone release, blood clotting, maintaining normal heartbeat, and building strong bones and teeth. New moms should not only use dairy to get the recommended 1,000-1500 mgs of calcium daily. The NIH recommends a variety of other foods and methods to get the calcium your body needs. Here’s a list. Dark leafy green vegetables such as spinach, methi, mustard and okra are all good options. Leafy greens such as methi, mustard, colocasia, Arbi and gawar fali (cluster beans), are great options for adding calcium to your diet. Calcium-enriched orange juice, cereals and bread. This is a great place to learn about food labels. Milk is the main reason that breastfeeding moms are encouraged to drink milk. It is also because calcium is found in dairy, and new mothers need to replenish it as they lose calcium from their bones while nursing newborns. Consuming unmilled, soaked cereals or pulses is a great way to increase calcium absorption. To minimize phytates that can interfere with calcium absorption, soak them in water before you cook. Indian food for calcium without dairyThese delicious treats would have been enjoyed by any Indian woman after giving birth to a child for a minimum of 40 days. Dried figs, Gond, til (sesame seed), flaxseeds laddoos and chutneysAmaranths seeds in the form Chikki and coconut milk KheerMethi are rich sources of calcium and can be added to fermented batters, laddoos and seasonings. How to increase calcium intake from your mealsGet enough sunlight as Vitamin D is important for calcium absorption.Eat less salt as calcium is thrown out by the kidneys in urine along with excess sodium.Avoid too much tea and coffee as caffeine in tea and coffee causes the loss of calcium.Take a calcium supplement minimum 2 hours before or after a meal to ensure best absorption.Exercising, especially weight exercises must be taken up for calcium to be absorbed by bones better. This was the best way for nursing moms to get calcium and to make sure they get it back after giving birth. Visit Our Store! Via https://www.stayslimandhealthy.com/keto-recipes/low-carb-amaretti-cookies/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=low-carb-amaretti-cookies Intermittent fasting is a great way to lose weight. Our system will spend less time digesting food and more time removing toxins. Intermittent fasting is a way to reduce the time it takes to remove toxic substances. Photo by The Fry Family Food Co., UnsplashAfter trying my best to improve my eating habits, I discovered the importance of intermittent fasting. My mom was very upset when I told her about my new eating habits. She believed that we should eat 5-6 small meals per day. Her argument that eating every two hours was important for health and metabolism was the one she argued against. However, I was ready to explain to her why Intermittent Fasting is a good way to lose weight. If you’re still confused about whether to eat every two hours or intermittent fasting, read on. ToxinsOur bodies become overloaded with toxic chemicals when we eat every 2 or 3 hours. Most of the food we eat today is processed, packaged and often genetically modified. Fresh greens are often laced with pesticides, additives and artificial flavors. Think about the strange-tasting spinach or those extra red melons. We have seen instances where vendors added red sugar syrups with the aid of injections to watermelon red and sweet. Who can forget the huge, genetically modified pumpkins and gourds we purchase from the farmers’ markets regularly? These foods can cause problems with digestion and damage the kidneys. It is a fact that while we all want to eat organic food, how many can afford it? Here’s a wealth of information about organic food as a profitable trend. It is impossible to eat only what is available on the market. Therefore, it makes more sense to plan your meals and control how much you eat. Intermittent fasting is a way to cut calories and eat healthier foods. 2. 2. Spend less time in the kitchenWow! This is a very important thing for me. I don’t like spending too much time in my kitchen cooking fancy meals full of oils, spices, and sweetness. Because I work remotely, I have strict deadlines and cannot spend too much time prepping and cooking six to eight meals per day. It is essential that food be available for our survival, so we don’t need to waste our time making fancy meals. I can’t imagine me going into the kitchen every 2 hours to prepare small meals. Instead, I’d rather relax and enjoy my meals in a four- to six-hour window. This is just my opinion. However, if you’re the one who considers food a vital part of your life, you can choose to live the life you want. 3. Take more time to digest and detoxWhen I was following three-hour eating times, I discovered that I was doing more than just preparing food and eating it. I also spent time cleaning out the kitchen shelves. Similar was my digestive health. It was too late to digest the first meal so I had to go back for more. It was frustrating and made me realize the stupidity of my actions. With the thoughts of accumulating toxins in my body hovering over me, I felt ill and unable to feel light. Finally, I made the decision to reduce my intake of unavoidable toxic chemicals and allow my body to digest food for longer periods. This allowed me to detox. It makes sense, doesn’t it? If we eat in short periods of time, there is a greater chance that we will gain weight and develop chronic diseases. This can lead to premature aging and death from obesity. Our organs, tissues and cells have to work harder to digest the food we eat. However, there is not enough time to remove toxins from the first meal. OMG! What torture. It is well-known that the body requires a lot of energy to digest and remove waste from food. Our bodies spend more time digesting food than it does removing toxins. Intermittent fasting is a way to reduce the time required to fix toxic stuff. A clean, healthy body is essential for long-term health. What do you think? This blog is a collection of my personal opinions about all that I have experienced while trying to live a healthy lifestyle. This link will allow you to read my life and request assistance if you have any questions. Visit Our Store! Please don’t think I am being judgmental for using the term in relation to women. I know from personal experience that diet can affect mood, especially if we try to lose weight by following the best Indian diet plan. It is easier for women to be a closet eater, as they are the ones who cook and prepare the food. When I feel down, the only thing that makes me feel better is chocolate, cookies, or sugar in any form. It lifts my mood, but later hours of regret are more devastating. Sugar is a problem that creates a sad cycle. Our food choices can bring us shame and regret. Read more about sugar’s evil effects here. The best way to avoid all of this is to make the right nutritional decisions… Hmm… that is a difficult task. It is a fact that nutrition plays a vital role in every person’s emotional and physical health. Because the brain and the body are two separate entities, it is easy to make the biggest mistake in thinking that they should be treated as one. This is a huge mistake. It is a common misconception that eating healthy, well-defined food will help you lose weight. However, it does not take into account the benefits to your mental health. Are mood and food related? The simple answer is yes. The connection between food and emotions is deeply rooted in our brains and our digestive tract. There are billions of bacteria living in our GI tract, influencing neurotransmitters and chemical substances like dopamine or serotonin. Healthy food promotes good bacteria, while junk food can cause inflammation. Good bacteria helps in the production neurotransmitters, which send positive messages to our brains. Finally, we feel better. Negative diets can affect our mood. The best Indian diet for weight loss and good health There are no prizes for guessing the ingredients of a healthy plate that is free from preservatives, colors and additives. Whole grains, green vegetables, fiber, and antioxidant-rich foods are the best Indian diet. The best diet to lose weight and improve health is the one that reduces inflammation. This includes various leafy green vegetables, berries and Indian spices such as turmeric. Last but not least, salmon and chia seed. Vitamin D is also known to increase the production of serotonin. Vitamin D is obtained from sunlight exposure, but mushrooms and some supplements can also be helpful. Magnesium and fermented foods are also essential for maintaining good gut health and nerves. You just need to add nuts such as almonds and cashews with dark leafy greens and bananas. The great thing about probiotics is that they are found in fermented foods as live bacteria. According to my personal experience, eating a large plate of salads with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and Himalayan pink salt sprinkled on top keeps you fuller for longer and helps keep you from feeling low. Switch to healthier desserts. A bowl of yogurt with nuts and chia seeds is better than icecreams. You will feel the same effect on your mood after eating them. You can substitute white rice kheer with brown rice or dates pudding. It’s possible to do this in many different ways. You don’t need to make drastic changes in order to switch. Start by eating more fruits and vegetables in your daily meals. You can then reduce your intake of sweets or vice versa. Being mindful is key to making a change from unhealthy looking for the best Indian diet for weight loss and good overall health. Your moods will improve if you keep your eyes on healthy eating. You will experience fewer mood swings and your outlook on life will improve. Visit Our Store!
